Promotion and information

Information and promotion of the project will be addressed to several target groups which are potentially interested in the project’s realization as well as in the results that will be obtained during its realization and finally in the formulated conclusions. Target groups, that information and promotion actions will be addressed to, will include:

• national and international scientific communities
• communities involved in the active environmental protection such as: National Parks, NGOs, governmental administration (f.i. Voivdeship’s Environmental Protection Department)
• tourists
• local community.

Realization of the information and promotion activities will be conducted simultaneously on several planes including informing about the aims, undertaken activities and progress of the project realization, dissemination of the achieved results and formulated conclusions within the project, and presenting the effects of the project’s realization for general public. For achievement of above stated aims following activities are planned:

• organization of two seminars:
• inaugurating one with participation of the project’s partners, representatives of scientific community and representatives of local community and administration, devoted to presentation of the project’s principles and aims and to specify co-operations and collaboration among different research groups as well as with local community; and
• specialistic one, organized in the course of the project and devoted to the state of the project, presentation and discussion on the partial results, exchange of so far collected knowledge and experiences, and proposals of possible alterations in the course of the project appearing from the collected conclusions and experiences;
• placement of 9 information boards at locations relevant from the project’s realization point of view i.e. Grzędy forester’s logde, the headquarter of the BNP, the partners’ headquarters;
• organization of the exhibition at the BNP headquarter informing about the nature of the strict reserve “Red Bog based on materials collected and conclusions drawn in the course of the project. The exhibition will be actualized according to the progress of the project;
• establishing and actualization of the web page informing about the project located on the server of Warsaw Agricultural University - the main partner (address: http://redbog.sggw.pl/), where information about the investigated area, principles and aims of the project, progress in the course of the project and achieved results. This web page will be also a place for data exchange between the different research teams and also will allow for access to resource of already existing web page, located on the BNP server, devoted to realization and results of scientific research conducted in the BNP. The detailed description of the principles and content of this page is given in the attachment no. 14.
• preparation of open for general public materials presenting this closed for tourism area and informing about the project’s aims, progress of the scientific research during the project realization and conclusions appearing from the project. These information and promotion materials will be prepared in two forms: as illuminated by photos leaflets and booklets, that will be displayed for free collecting in the BNP headquarter and the information points of the BNP; and also as nature film presenting the environment of the Red Bog reserve and at the same time documenting the realization of the project. This movie will be projected on shows in the headquarter of the BNP.
• organization of the international scientific conference summarizing the project, that the aim will be the dissemination of the achieved results and conclusions with scientific community and opportunity to discuss subjective issues of the project by dint of participation of scientists not involved in the project. Papers presented during the conference will be published as conference proceedings.
• participation of the project’s consortium members in the scientific conferences on subjective for the project fields, to present the project and results achieved during its realization, and also to discuss and exchange ideas with regard to investigated problems.
